As a mature age student learning to drive in my 30’s after a traumatic experience at 18 I was very reluctant to try again, however; Steve really helped me gain my confidence back and got me back on the road with patience, encouragement and realistic expectations. I’ve tried a few different driving school being a mature age learner and no one was able to get me over the line and have patience with my fear except Platinum Driving Tuition. Steve was so patient so kind he never rushed our drives or made me feel like I had done anything wrong when I made a mistake or hesitated with manoeuvres. Steve is an amazing driving instructor! He was very patient and knew which areas I needed improvements. I passed my driving test in one go. The person who tested me didn't bother explaining the results, but luckily Steve was still in the centre for his next student and kindly went through the result sheet with me.

Steve is a legend! Thanks to his professional instruction with friendly and gentle guidance, I was able to pass my driving test on the first go in order to transfer my US license over. He gave me the confidence I needed after settling in Australia to successfully and confidently navigate the road rules and understand some of the more nuanced differences between the two countries - not to mention, get me out of my old bad driving habits! If you’re looking for a calm, friendly, instructor with extensive experience to get you on the road (or in my case, back on the road) safely and confidently, then Steve is your guy. Thanks, Steve!

Steve is a legend in our house!!! He got both my kids through their tests, helped them to unlearn the bad habits they had picked up from me and gave them the skills and confidence to both pass first time. He was super supportive and flexible, accomodating several date changes with ease and good humour. My daughter had another driving instructor that she didn't like but Steve built awesome rapport with both kids and got them across the line. Steve is an absolute driving miracle worker! I had my first and only driving lesson at 16 with my dad, it went so horrendously that I decided I would never drive again! At 31 I thought it was time to have another crack at driving and this is where I found Steve. From my very first lesson, all the way through to my last lesson, Steve was always calming and composed. He made my fear of driving dissipate, kept the driving and parking techniques simple and easy, taught me to see and be aware of all the hazards on the road, and built my confidence up to believe in myself. Five months later and I’ve gone from not knowing how to start a car to driving around solo and confidently on my P’s! Thanks so much Steve, without you I wouldn’t have transformed from the ‘girl who would never drive’ to an ‘independent woman hitting the road’!
